England Under-21 stars Steven Taylor and Gabriel Agbonlahor know there is still work to be done before they can celebrate a place at next summer's European Championship.
Agbonlahor's clever flick on the hour mark put the seal on England's 3-2 victory at Ninian Park, but the Aston Villa striker is only too aware that his side face a stiff challenge to hold onto that advantage when the sides renew acquaintances at his home ground on Tuesday.
He said: "I was surprised to get contact on the cross and it's great to score again. We made it hard for ourselves in the first half. But in the second half we created more than enough chances and got there in the end.
"We have the team to progress, but they are a good side so we'll have to be at our best on Tuesday."
Taylor added: "We had a difficult start and we weren't happy with the goals we conceded. We have a game to win on Tuesday as this tie is still very much alive.
"We're disappointed not to have tied it up tonight so we have all to play for. We gave them too much space to play in the first half but we were much better in the second and we have to continue that on Tuesday."
