wants to put the disappointment of Sunday’s World Cup opener with Iraq behind him.
The England U20s and Sporting Lisbon defender is still disappointed at how the Three Lions lost a two goal lead to only draw their first match.
But with a chance to get back on track against Chile on Wednesday evening, Dier is hoping England can take advantage.
He said: “I think we’re prepared, we just need to play our own game and let them worry about us.
“Everyone was disappointed on Sunday. To be 2-0 up and then to concede two goals, sloppy goals, was disappointing.
“In the first half we were really good, we passed and kept the ball really well.
“We created loads of chances and could’ve killed the game off.
“So we need to look at that first half and take the positives from that.”
One factor which England will have to be ready for is the heat with this game kicking-off at 6pm local time as opposed to the 9pm start against Iraq.
But having been in Turkey and training at that time for the last two weeks, Dier says this shouldn’t play any factor.
“We’ve been here for two weeks so everyone’s used to the heat now,” he added.
“It’s still going to be hard, it’s hard for anyone in this heat, even the people that are used to it.
“Three hours earlier is a big difference, but we need to get on with it.”
