England U20s captain Conor Coady says focus now turns to Chile game after Iraq draw

England U20s captain Conor Coady
says the Three Lions have nobody to blame but themselves following Sunday’s World Cup draw with Iraq.
Coady opened the scoring in the first half before Luke Williams doubled the advantage soon after the break to put England two up.
But Iraq hit back with a late double to rescue a point and leave the Lions disappointed.
Coady said: “I thought in the first half, it was a good team performance.
“We got the ball down and moved quite well so we deserved the lead going into half time.
“In the second half, I thought we were a bit too defensive and on the back foot, but to be fair to them they came out and pressed us.
“We’re bitterly disappointed.”
England have now turned their focus onto the next game, which sees them take on Chile this Wednesday.
The South Americans kicked-off on Sunday with a 2-1 win against Egypt and already have one foot in the second round.
And Liverpool midfielder Coady says the squad will be ready for the new challenge after putting the Iraq result behind them.
He added: “We’ve got to be positive now and pick ourselves up tomorrow.
“We’ve got a massive game on Wednesday and we need to go out and win that.
“It will be a good test for the lads against Chile, we’ve seen them and they look very technical and a good side.
“We’re hoping to get a win there.”
