Kevin Nolan has praised West Ham team-mate and former England U18 attacker Morrison
West Ham skipper Kevin Nolan has praised the much-more focused Ravel Morrison after the youngster’s impressive pre-season.
Former England U18 attacking midfielder Morrison netted a double in the Hammers victory over Sporting Lisbon on Monday, and he has impressed since returning from his loan spell at Birmingham City last season.
Nolan revealed that the 20-year-old has returned with a new approach, but he must maintain it to reach his potential.
Nolan said: “The lad has got ability. I think he has come back with a renewed approach.
"Speaking to Lee Clark when I've had the chance to, he said he really worked hard with him and towards the end of last season he really had him on board."
Nolan, speaking to West Ham’s official website, added: "Hopefully now this will be the start of what is going to be a fantastic career for him, because as you can see he has great ability and can score goals too.
"I'm going to help him as much as I can this season, talking to him on the pitch and off the pitch.
"If he can get it all right, he'll be a top player for years to come."
