England U17s boss John Peacock felt his side were deserved winners on Friday, when an Adam Armstrong goal was enough to seal victory over Turkey.
The Newcastle United striker's second-half strike proved to be the winner, but Peacock felt England's performance warranted more goals on the night.
And with one more match of The FA International Tournament to come on Sunday, he's hoping to finish on a high ahead of October's Euro qualifiers.
Peacock told TheFA.com: "We definitely deserved the win, I don't think there's any doubt that.
"We really should have been about three in front by half time, but it's about being patient, making sure the concentration levels are right and hoping that when the chance comes, you take it.
"It should have been more than 1-0 tonight, so it's the result we wanted but more importantly the performance was a good one again.
"The performances so far have been good, everybody has played and had a start so as far as I'm concerned, they're all having a good chance to show what they can do."
With these games being the last chance for Peacock to assess his options for the qualifiers, he believes it's been a good week.
The squad have been based together at St. George's Park and with three games in a short space of time replicating the situation they will face in October, it's all good experience for the players.
"Italy on Sunday will be a really tough game," added Peacock.
"As we said before, we've played everybody in the squad now so we can share the load again and it's a really good game to finish off with.
"It's one that we're really looking forward to and hopefully we can come out with a victory but if not, learn a bit more about the players."
