Three first-half goals help England to victory in Montaigu Tournament
England U16s built on their promising opening to the Montaigu Tournament with a fine victory over Chile on Thursday afternoon.
Kenny Swain's side started the competition in France with a good performance and draw against Netherlands earlier in the week.
And they gave Chile no chance on Thursday after making a blistering start to the game.
MK Dons forward Giorgio Rasulo opened the scoring after just five minutes, before Patrick Roberts of Fulham doubled England's lead a minute later.
Rasulo then added his second and England's third of the game after just 12 minutes to put the Young Lions in firm control.
The South Americans improved after the break and pulled a goal back in the 52nd minute, but Swain's team held firm for victory.
England's final group game of the Montaigu Tournament against Germany U16s takes place on Saturday afternoon.
