Manager pleased with six points from six.
Fabio Capello was delighted after watching England's comprehensive 3-1 win over the Swiss and described the Three Lion's first-half perfomance as "fantastic ."
Capello's side maintained their 100 per cent start to qualifying for Euro 2012 after beating Bulgaria 4-0 at Wembley on Friday, with a convincing victory in Basel through goals from Wayne Rooney, Adam Johnson and Darren Bent, and are now top of Group G.
"I think in the first half we played fantastic football and I was really happy," said Capello. "It was important to win and we played really, really well."
England got off to a flier when Wayne Rooney scored after 10 minutes, and after Adam Jophnson made it 2-0 and Switzerland were reduced to ten men for the final 20 minutes, the result was rarely in doubt.
"In the second half we played probably too slow, but after the second goal when it was ten players versus 11 it was too easy."
The Manager was also full of praise for Rooney, who showed no ill-efects from the intense media spotlight he has been under this week.
The United forward was full of running and scored the breakthough goal when he tapped home Glen Johnson's early cross. "Rooney's goal was important for him and for us," added Capello.
"His movement was good, he pressed the number eight and number six, who were important players.
"I am really happy for Rooney's performance. I think he played well, he was always at the centre of the play, the movement. He is really an important player, the pressure was strong on him but he played well."
