England winger Wilfried Zaha told his time will come at Manchester United
England’s Wilfried Zaha will have to bide his time at Manchester United and grasp the opportunity when it arises, according to his manager David Moyes.
Zaha, who has starred at Under-21 level and also has two senior caps to his name, has yet to feature for Manchester United since his he was handed a starting berth in the FA Community Shield in August, but Moyes insists it is as much about learning and adapting to his new surroundings at this stage of the season.
He said: "Wilf is one of the boys we have not been able to have a look at so far.
"We always said we wanted him in. We needed him to see exactly what the level is like and the boy is doing well.”
Moyes also hinted that Zaha’s time would come before too long, and while he had begun his Manchester United reign relying on some of the more established names in the squad, others will be called upon as the season progresses.
"Premier League games are important. We have to win them,” he added.
“So whilst there will be some players who get the opportunities sooner rather than later some will have to wait their time because it is a fact you can only play 11."
Zaha may feature in a busy week for Manchester United, as the Premier League champions face three game in seven days.
They begin West Bromwich Albion at Old Trafford on Saturday, following by a potentially draining trip to Ukraine to face Shakhtar Donetsk midweek, and then return for an away trip to Sunderland next weekend.
