Everton defender Phil Jagielka in line for first England cap since October
Phil Jagielka is itching to get back into action for England as he prepares to face Republic of Ireland on Wednesday.
The Everton man last wore Three Lions on his chest back in October.
Jagielka, who has 16 caps, played against Poland in World Cup qualifying and is looking forward to featuring again as Roy Hodgson's charges prepare for the Wembley friendly.
Ahead of a double header that also includes a showdown with Brazil he said: "It has been a while - I have had a few niggly injuries.
"It is nice to have a few days off and to get into the training sessions.
"The Manager has changed it around and it has been a while for me so it is always nice to meet up."
