England left-back Ashley Cole injured his hamstring in FA Cup win over Manchester United
England left-back Ashley Cole faces at least two weeks on the sidelines after injuring a hamstring during Chelsea's 1-0 FA Cup Sixth Round replay win over Manchester United.
Cole pulled up after just 21 minutes at Stamford Bridge and was replaced by Ryan Bertrand as Chelsea went on to earn a Semi-Final place against Manchester City.
Fellow England defender Gary Cahill missed the match with a knee injury and could also be touch and go for the Semi-Final clash at Wembley on 14 April.
Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez said: "The problem we have now is that Cahill will be out for another 15 days at least and Ashley the same."
Wayne Rooney also missed the replay at Stamford Bridge but United do not expect him to be out for so long.
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson added: "Wayne Rooney got a groin injury playing for England, he wasn't 100 per cent yesterday so it was not worth risking him.
"With a groin injury you can exacerbate it and be out for weeks. I'm hopeful he will be back for Monday against Manchester City."
United did, however, field six England internationals in their team against Chelsea, with Phil Jones playing alongside Michael Carrick and Tom Cleverley in midfield.
