The England Team arrived at St. George’s Park on Monday afternoon to begin their preparations for two important World Cup Qualifiers over the next week.
Roy Hodgson’s men face Moldova at Wembley on Friday night before travelling to Kiev for a crucial meeting with Ukraine and gathered together at their base at the national football centre.
The Three Lions boss was soon out on the elite training pitch working with a group of players including Frank Lampard, Gary Cahill and Ashley Cole, who featured for Chelsea in Friday’s UEFA Super Cup.
Hodgson also brought in half a dozen players from Gareth Southgate’s Under-21s squad, who are also staying at St. George’s Park ahead of their opening Euro 2015 Qualifier with Moldova at Reading on Thursday.
Goalkeeping coach Dave Watson was putting the three stoppers, Joe Hart, Frazer Forster and John Ruddy, through their paces, before the two groups came together to work on an attacking and defending practice.
Meanwhile, a number of England’s players who were in action on Sunday, such as captain Steven Gerrard, had a recovery session before casting an eye over training from the impressive sports science facility.
