Live on ITV
has paid tribute to his England and Chelsea team-mate Frank Lampard
, as the midfielder prepares to win his 100th cap in Tuesday night's game with Ukraine.
England Manager Roy Hodgson
revealed on Monday evening that Lampard will be starting the World Cup qualifier
in Kiev, with the 35-year-old becoming the latest player to make a century of appearances for the Three Lions.
Cole reached the milestone himself this year in February's win over Brazil
at Wembley, following on from captain Steven Gerrard
who picked up his 100th cap in the game against Sweden
And Cole told TheFA.com he will be one of the first to congratulate the former West Ham United star on his latest achievement.
"I don't think he needs me to give him any advice so it'll probably be a pat on the back and just congratulate him," said Cole.
"It's a great achievement, I think he was very nice with the comments he made about me when I did it and the same when Stevie G did it.
"I think if there's another player who does deserve it, it's him.
"So I'm very happy for him and hopefully we can get a good result for him as well."
