Ricardo Vaz Te says everyone at West Ham wants Andy Carroll to stay at Upton Park
West Ham forward Ricardo Vaz Te has sung the praises of Andy Carroll.
England international Carroll is currently on loan at Upton Park from Liverpool and Vaz Te says he would love to see the 24-year-old in east London next season.
After a mixed start with Sam Allardyce’s side, Carroll has started to prove his worth, scoring six goals so far this campaign and putting in a man-of-the-match performance in the 2-2 draw with Manchester United on Wednesday.
Vaz Te said: "He is very valuable for us and since he came to the club he has been great to be fair.
"He works very hard, holds up the ball and takes pressure off the lads, he is terrific really.
"I call him a beast. He is great in the air and he can chest and head and his accuracy is perfect, he is good on the floor as well - he can play with the ball.
"If we can keep him next season that would be great - it depends on him but it would a huge step forward.
"I think there are financial issues and that is nothing to do with me but I think every player, the coaching staff and the fans would love to keep him, we are all happy to have him."
