Aston Villa full-back Jlloyd Samuel has set his sights on following his one-time team-mates John Terry, Ashley Cole and Ledley King into the senior England side.
Twenty-two-year-old Samuel and the other three defenders were all part of the same youth team at east London club Senrab FC.
Remarkably all four of them have since gone on to play with Premiership clubs - Villa, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham respectively.
However, whilst Terry, Cole and King have gone on to win caps for Sven-Goran Eriksson's senior England side, Samuel has so far had to be content with only Under-21 recognition.
Samuel said: "I grew up with Ledley, John and Ashley and we had a really good team which, to be honest, won everything around.
"When we were growing up we didn't think we would all come through and we are enjoying it now and I am pleased to see them in the England team.
"I was pleased for Ledley when he scored the goal for England the other week against Portugal on his full debut.
"It would be a dream for me to play for England as well and it was nice that John said in a recent Chelsea programme that I'll be with them one day. We have all stayed in touch and encourage each other."
