The England Euro 2004 squad plus Jermain Defoe are training in Sardinia today as Sven's men begin their preparations for Euro 2004.
Eighteen of the the 24-man party are in training and spirits are said to be high with England's opening match of Euro 2004 against France just 20 days away.
Those not training include the four Manchester United players - Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt, Gary and Phil Neville - who are recovering from Saturday's FA Cup Final.
Also sitting out are David Beckham and Owen Hargreaves, who made their way from Spain and Germany independently.
"Everyone is in good spirits and the players can't wait for the action to start," said an FA spokesman.
"We are all looking forward to having a good week here before the games in the Summer Tournament in Manchester."
England take on Japan and Iceland at the City of Manchester Stadium next week before flying to Portugal to play France in their first Group B match on 13 June.
