Jon Dahl Tomasson scores six minutes from time to consign England to their first ever defeat at old Trafford. Goals from Rooney and Joe Cole twice gave England the lead but Denmark wouldn't lie down, equalised twice and then stole a late winner.
1': Wayne Rooney tries an ambitious pass towards Joe Cole on the right but overhits hit and the ball runs out of play.
2': Beckham nearly feeds Heskey down the middle but Denmark cut out the danger.
2': Cole and Neville combine on the right and win a corner. Beckham delivers from the left but Upson can't direct his header towards goal.
3': Good start by the Three Lions though as they win a free-kick out on the left touchline. Beckham curls it into the area but Denmark clear...
4' GOAL! England 1-0 Denmark A simply fabulous goal from Rooney - initially it looks like he loses a nicely played ball but then, sprinting clear of all his markers, Rooney latches onto the ball for a second time and dispatches a wonderful strike into Sorensen's top left hand corner. For extra effect the ball crashes in off the cross-bar.
5': England looking to calm the match down.
6': Every time Rooney gets the ball the crowd are on their feet - he's playing well and England look dangerous.
7' GOAL! England 1-1 Denmark Jorgensen finishes off a move after England's midfield is cut open.
8' GOAL! England 2-1 Denmark Wow! England hit straight back and go into the lead for the second time. After a Danish attack is broken up near the half-way line, England counter-attack at speed and Heskey and Rooney combine to send a pass into the area where Joe Cole gets clear and finishes from near the penalty-spot with his left foot.
9' Thomas Gravesen has a go with a 25-yard free-kick
12' Denmark beginning to threaten the England goal as Sven's men fail to keep the ball in midfield.
14' England booking David James races out to stop Rommedahl from getting in behind England. He comes out of his box and brings the Dane down but the referee shows the yellow card.
15' England substitution Glen Johnson comes on to win his first cap as Gary Neville comes off.
17': Joe Cole makes a good break out of his own area as England clear their lines.
20' Denmark substitution Perez comes on for Rommedahl
21': The game has settled now as both teams look for spaces in each other's midfield.
23': Beckham races out of the England half, plays it to Cole on the right and he knocks it forward to Johnson who is fouled as he tries to get to the by-line. The free-kick comes to nothing.
25': Beckham and Lampard combine to try to set Rooney free.
27' Sorensen races out of his box to clear as Heskey and Rooney lurk.
29' Denmark substitution On comes Daniel Jensen for Wieghorst.
30' GOAL! England 2-2 Denmark Jorgensen scores from the spot after two England defenders failed to clear properly. As Jorgensen shapes to hit the lose ball towards goal he is brought down by Upson and Jorgensen himself hits the penalty high into the right corner.
31': Beckham's free-kick from the right touch-line is curled in well but Denmark clear.
33': Denmark win a corner on the right but Beckham clear's Gronkjaer's set-piece at the near post.
34': England win another free-kick deep in the Danish half. Beckham takes it but as Johnson heads it back in from the far post, the linesman signals that the ball went out.
35': The crowd go quiet and so does the match. Neither team is looking like scoring as perez chips a pass into the penalty area which Upson deals with comfortably.
36': Perez fould Lampard and England have a free-kick a few yards inside their won half. The ball is played out to Beckham and he and Johnson combine to win a throw-in right by the corner flag.
37': The ball is played in but there is a foul by Joe Cole on Helveg.
39': Denmark try to break out on the left but Gronkjaer gives the ball away and England build again.
40': A foul on Gravesen brings a free-kick to Morten Olsen's side. Unfortunately their move quickly breaks down and England come forward.
41': Ashley Cole and Heskey try to create something on the edge of the area but Denmark hold firm once again.
42': Joe Cole is set free down the inside left channel and gets into a shooting position.... Thomas Sorensen makes the save and the ball goes out for a corner.
43': Denmark break down the right and the ball is fedm inside to perez who shoots from 25 yards... the ball sails high and wide of James' goal.
44': The referee has indicated that there will be two minutes of added on time.
45': Jensen heads on to Jorgensen but Terry clears. England counter as Beckham gets free on the right.
45+1': Beckham's cross is cleared as Rooney hswings at the ball but misses.

46': England come charging down the right hand touchline as they to take the lead for a third time.
47': The new boys are just settling down and finding their feet in what has been until now quite a fast game.
48': Beckham's low shot is easily saved at his near post by Sorensen.
50': Cutting in from the left hand touchline, Perez has an audacious shot at goal - trying to chip Robinson from all of 30 yards. Thankfully the ball goes wide.
52': Beckham finds Cole and he feeds Bridge wide left. The Chelsea man tries to cross the ball into the area but Denmark clear the danger.
53': Robinson punches away a corner and Niclas Jensen shoots over.
54': Rooney cuts into the box and from a tight angle sweeps his foot around the ball and crashes a powerful shot past Sorensen and against the inside of the far post... the ball bounces kindly for the visitors and they break.
55': The ball is worked well to Gronkjaer on thr right. he comes in onto his left foot and shoots high over Robinson's bar.
58': Denmark break again, and again down the right hand side. Gronkjaer decides to go straight for goal this time and hits a good, low shot at Robinson. The Leeds man gets his body behind the ball and saves well.
60': A nice little ball over the Danish defence sets Rooney clear but Villa's Sorensen reacts quickly and clears well.
61: Danny Murphy and Jenas are warming up on the near touchline - is Sven thinking about making some more changes?
62' Denmark substitution
Peter Lovenkrands comes on for Jesper Gronkjaer.
63': The referee blows for a foul and Priske stands over it. Instead of playing a ball in, Denmark knock it back.
65': Denmark play a lovely one-two and Lovenkrands is played in but Robinson pulls off a second great save.
66' England substitutions

69': Denmark come again at England and Tomasson gets into a good position inside the box. His cross is cleared by Upson.
70' Denmark substitution
Thomas Gaardsoe for Per Nielsen.
71: There is a mix-up in the area which nearly leads to an own-goal. The ball hits two Danish defenders but then falls for Sorensen to restore some calm.
74': James Beattie is brought down just as the Southampton man looks as though he's going to break clear.
75': England work a good position on the right as they try to get behind Denmark again. They have looked a little uncertain since Beckham and Rooney went off.

Liverpool's Danny Murphy comes on for Joe Cole.
77': Rangers star Peter Lovenkrands nearly gets on the end of a dangerous free-kick swung in from the left but Beattie gets to the ball first and clears.
79': Frank Lampard runs across the Danish defence, looking to pick a hole somewhere - he's had a quiet game so far.
80': Beattie breaks at speed and, rather than shooting himself, passes for Murphy who hits the ball well but into the near side-netting.
81': Lose ball on the edge of the area is smacked at goal by Lovenkrands... it looks dangerous and Robinson can only parry the ball out to the edge of the area....
82' GOAL! England 2-3 Denmark
As the ball flies out of the penalty area, a Danish midfielder shoots powerfully at goal but straiht at Robinson. This time the Leeds man can't hold the ball and Tomasson scores from the rebound.
84' Denmark substitution
Jorgensen comes off for Peter Madsen.
86': England looking a little down now - the late goal looks to have killed them off.
89': Denmark quite happy to knock the ball around and wait for the clock to show full-time. They have played well in the second half - excellent passing and lots of pace the hallmarks of their game.
90': Lovenkrands swings a cross in from the right but the ball goes out to safety.
