Ahead of Saturday's match, Turkey manager Senol Gunes has said that he is confident that his side can beat England to win Group 7...
Turkey go into the match knowing that only a win will see them finish top of the group, ahead of Sven-Goran Eriksson's England.
After losing 2-0 to England at the Stadium of Light back in April - the Three Lions scoring through Darius Vassell and David Beckham - the Turks now trail by a point and have to win to avoid the potentially hazardous play-off route to next year's finals.
Coach Senol Gunes has seen his side win all of their other six Group 7 games and is in high spirits ahead of Saturday's game.
"We have played with much more authority in this group than England, apart from the time we played against them," he said.
"We believe that we deserve to be the leaders and we deserve to qualify for Portugal. I know the England fans think they have already got through to Euro 2004 but we will work hard to prove them wrong."
It isn't just England who have worries over the fitness of a striker, as Turkey forward Hakan Sukur also faces a race against time to be fit for the big match.
"We don't have a clear idea how bad the injury to Michael Owen is.
"Hakan Sukur is a very important and influential player but if he doesn't play, we have many other players who can cover for him."
