Under-21s Debut 13.11.12, 2-0 v Northern Ireland (h)
Nat has been on loan at Watford. He appeared in eight out of nine matches for England’s U19s in 2011-12 and made his Under-21 bow as a substitute last November.
Nathaniel has been a regular for England at all levels, after making his debut for the U16s in 2010 and quickly progressing through the ranks, often playing whilst still being a year younger than many of his team-mates and opponents.
In particular, Nat was a real stalwart for the U17 side as his partnership with Andre Wisdom in central defence in 2010 provided a solid foundation which allowed England to march to European U17 glory in Liechtenstein.
The following season saw the south-Londoner captain John Peacock's U17s as they reached the Euro Semi-Finals and qualified for the FIFA U17 World Cup in Mexico, where they went as far as the quarter final.
He was quickly promoted into Noel Blake's U19 squad the following season, as well as captaining Chelsea's youth team to FA Youth Cup glory in 2012 and then joining the Senior squad for their triumphant trip to Munich for the Champions League Final.
Tall, athletic and comfortable in possession, the Chelsea youngster is a calm and composed player in either midfield or defence, both quick in the tackle and also able to play the ball sharply and accurately across the pitch.
