The programme
Our elite coach menteeship programme provides an incredible opportunity for coaches to gain a year’s worth of valuable work experience across the FA, equipping them with new skills and qualities to support the next move in their careers.
About the mentees
When appointing mentees we look for natural leaders with a positive attitude towards all areas of the game.
Excellent communication skills with everyone involved in the game, on and off the pitch, are a must.
The Opportunity
Each year our mentees spend 12 months navigating their way through a bespoke programme of England youth team development camps and county coach development.
They will also get the opportunity to support both youth and national coach developer teams as well as attending LMA Masterclass events.
The FA Elite Coaching Menteeship Programme has been ongoing since 2016 with the aim of providing coaches who have aspirations of working in elite football environments with meaningful work experience and mentoring. This programme can develop coaches by giving them unique opportunities within which they can thrive and progress.
