We have news of applications being open for a really exciting coaching opportunity being run by the Premier League for BAME and female coaches.

We have news of applications being open for a really exciting coaching opportunity being run by the Premier League for BAME and female coaches. 

It’s their BAME and Female Coach Initiative, which offers successful candidates a placement working full time in a Premier League or Category 1 football academy and half of their salary supported for four years.

It also provides a place on their Elite Coach Apprentice Scheme - a two-year intense coach development programme aimed at accelerating the learning and development of coaches who demonstrate the potential to be future elite coaches in youth football.

Sounds like it could be your perfect next step? Here are their requirements for the role:

• BAME or female coach
• FA Level 3 (UEFA B) in Coaching Football
• Minimum of three years’ experience in football coaching (part-time or full-time)
• Not currently employed full-time in a Category 1 or Premier League club as a coach
• Experience of coaching youth football

Here are their nice-to-haves for the role:
• UEFA A licence
• FA Advanced Youth award
• Degree level qualification in coaching or relevant subject
• Knowledge of EPPP
