Members of the 2020/21 Club Placement Programme welcomed to St. George’s Park
We’re really excited to share news about a new diversity initiative launched today by The FA in collaboration with eight professional clubs.
It’s called the Club Placement Programme and offers BAME and female coaches the chance to apply for one of ten volunteer academy placements at eight clubs across the country.

So, what kind of things will you be doing?
We’re delighted to launch the Club Placement Programme. It’s a major commitment from The FA and these eight professional clubs to support our shared aim of creating a better reflection of ethnicity and gender in key positions at this level. These placements will provide a unique experience for ten aspiring coaches from under-represented communities. And we fully believe the learning and development opportunities will set them up to push forward and compete for coaching and technical roles in football in the future.
You’ll be out on the grass supporting the coaching programme across all age groups, delivering practices, and evaluating players’ performances within sessions and games.
You’ll also attend internal meetings and be invited to regular career development events put on by the club, all while getting the opportunity to learn more about the planning, delivery and review of coaching sessions.
The clubs signed up are located across the country with category 2 and 3 academies.
They are Stevenage, Luton Town, Port Vale, Birmingham City, Colchester United, Bradford City, Millwall, and QPR.
