Leipzig's World Cup begins on 11 June with Serbia & Montenegro v Holland.
Leipzig
A Mick Channon goal in a 1-1 draw back in 1974 was the last time England played in Leipzig, and their return will have to wait a little longer.
The 45,000-seater stadium, which was rebuilt within the old ground's wall, is not on the Three Lions schedule this summer. However, the Zentralstadion will have five games at the Finals with Serbia & Montenegro v Holland first up on 11 June.
The old ground opened in 1956 and, with a capacity of 100,000, was once the biggest stadium in Germany. In 1997, the city council began planning work on a new, purpose-built stadium for the World Cup.
Bridges connect the new stadium complex with the old walls and the spectacular roof with integrated floodlighting provides the visual highlight at the new stadium.
