England's record in Hamburg, N/A

Hamburg's impressive new stadium, built on the site of the old Volksparkstadion, was completed in September 2000 and has earned the highest grading from UEFA - Five Stars.

England won't have the opportunity to play here this summer though, it's one of the four grounds not on their schedule, but it will host five matches, four in the group stages plus the second Quarter-Final on 30 June.

The old stadium, which was home to former England manager Kevin Keegan during his three-year spell with Hamburger SV, was demolished in 1998 to make way for the new venue.

Hamburg has a World Cup pedigree already having hosted three matches at the 1974 Finals including the final Group 1 meeting between East and West Germany.  Despite the East Germans 1-0 victory that saw them finish top of the Group, the West went on to be crowned World Champions.
