Having been drawn against Watford, a team playing extremely well this season and fully deserving of their current fourth place position in the National Premier League, Newcastle were able to pull off the big shock of the Fifth Round Proper with a victory on penalties.

United's Head Coach, Rob Atkin commented: "The FA Cup is the Cup of dreams. Having lost on penalties in the Quarter Finals two seasons ago to Liverpool, the players and staff drew on that experience to defeat an excellent Watford team.

"Everton at home in the next round will be a fantastic opportunity to promote the growth of the women's game in our region.”

The team will now be invited to The FA Women’s Cup Final in May as well as being awarded kit for the club, courtesy of Cup sponsors E.ON.

On that Atkin said: “We would also like to thank E.ON for bringing The FA Women’s Cup to us and giving the girls the opportunity of going to The Final. However, we of course still hope to be playing there and not in the stands."

Newcastle United Sixth Round FA Women’s Cup match is scheduled for Sunday 24 February. Everton's last outing in the Cup saw them beat previous TOTR winners Leicester City FCW.
