The England international had surgery yesterday after sustaining a broken hand during England's friendly against Scotland last Thursday at Prenton Park.

Chapman will have a fitness test on Friday. But even if she can't play, boss Keith Bonas believes she will still have a big influence on the Final.

"It is touch and go if she will be fit for the game," he said. "She had her operation late yesterday afternoon and will not really know until Friday.

"If I'm honest, we are actually planning that she will not be fit. If she is there, then it will be a bonus.

"She will be involved on the day no matter what. If she is not fit she will be in the dressing room because she is such a great influence on the young players."

Chapman, winner of 29 caps, has one eye on her place in England's side for the European Championships in June.

So the Charlton boss does not want to rush her back too soon and risk her participation in the tournament.

"She will be devastated if she can't make it on Monday," he said. "But we do not want to push her and risk that she will not be fit for England's games in the summer.

"If there is a chance we can get her fit and ready for the tournament, then that is more important for her.

"As much as I would like her to play, we are not selfish in that respect. Her health is the most important thing."
