It will be the third successive year that Crystal Palace FC will host the game and the fourth flagship women's game at the ground in two years. The match will take place on Bank Holiday May 5th with a 1.00pm kick-off and will be televised live on BBC1 once again.

Paul Barber, FA Director of Marketing & Communications, added: "We are looking forward to hosting yet another flagship women's game at Selhurst Park and we'd like to thank Crystal Palace for their continued support. The crowds over the past two seasons have proved that there is a growing interest in the women's game and we look forward to working with Crystal Palace to create a fantastic showpiece. This will also be the first opportunity for our Partners for Women's Football, Nationwide, to be involved in what is a key event in the football calendar.

"We are delighted also to be working with our broadcast partners, the BBC, to take the FA Women's Cup Final to an even wider audience for the second successive year. I'm sure the game will be a great occasion for fans of the two competing teams and the football community as a whole."

Crystal Palace FC have attracted over 10,000 to three women's games so far - in 2001 13,824 saw Arsenal beat Fulham 1-0 in The FA Cup Final, while 10,124 attended last season's Final, where Fulham beat Doncaster Belles 2-1. In May 2002, a record crowd of 14,107 saw England lose 0-1 to Germany.

Crystal Palace Chief Executive Phil Alexander said: "We are delighted to once again host The FA Women's Cup Final at Selhurst Park. This will be our third FA Women's Cup Final in a row and we look forward to making it an absolute success again. We look forward to receiving the supporters of both teams and the FA officials for what will be a great occasion."

The FA Cup semi-finals take place on Sunday March 23rd. Holders Fulham play away at Bristol Rovers' Memorial Stadium, while Charlton Athletic will host Arsenal at The Valley.
