Charlton Athletic's Katie Chapman is hoping to improve her FA Nationwide Women's Premier League Cup fortunes when she lines up against rivals Arsenal this Sunday.
On the losing side as a Fulham player when the Addicks lifted the trophy in 2003/04, Katie also tasted defeat last term when Arsenal were runaway winners against the South-East Londoners.
Keith Boanas' side bids to regain the trophy from their rivals this Sunday, and Chapman is especially determined to finally get her hands on the prize.
"The last couple of years' League Cup finals have been pretty bad for me, but I'm hoping that will turn around this year," said the England international. "We can't afford to lose to them again. That would be very disappointing."
The 2004/05 contest at Brentford FC's Griffin Park saw Charlton lose their title by a 3-0 scoreline.
The two London sides are also currently fighting it out for the women's Premier League championship - with a showdown at Arsenal still to be played - and they will cross paths again on March 19th with a place in the FA Cup final at stake.
Victory at Wycombe Wanderers' Causeway Stadium this weekend therefore will strike the first blow in the rivals' three meetings in major competitions before the end of the season.
Chapman, who played until the 63rd minute of the 3-3 League contest earlier in the season added: "It's always a tough game against Arsenal and it could go either way on Sunday.
"It's always nice to beat them, especially in a final. It's just about dealing with the big occasion.
"Personally I love playing against Arsenal, it's one of the challenges and it's a great game for me."
Of matching their counterparts, who have dominated the women's game for many years, Chapman added: "I think we're there or thereabouts, especially with the players that we've brought in this year.
"We've got a different team and I think we can compete with them this season."
