David is a UEFA A Licence coach whose full time job is as a Sports Development Officer with the Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust.

He has a wealth of football experience at home and abroad, notably having delivered various forms of coaching and coach education for Manchester United.

David will now spend the next few weeks getting to know and preparing his new charges ahead of the season start in August and the club’s return to the top flight.

“No one will be more obsessed with moving this club forward than me” he enthused as he observed training for the first time.

“I see the players as the most important part of the club and I want them to feel that way.  I want them to look forward to coming to training so I can get more out of them. 

"I will be setting them targets to achieve over the coming season and also getting them to set their own individual targets. I don’t see any reason why we can’t make an impact in the National Division.”
