The Lincolnshire Coop will once again sponsor the Lady Imps home shirt, while Ray Trew of SportsTV has matched that sum for the away shirt, whilst pledging extra money to sponsor the entry of additional talented players into the squad.

Club Chairman Geoff Adams said: "It is due to the kindness of these individuals and organisations that Lincoln City Ladies is able to operate in the way that it does and be the successful club that it is and every member of the squad is grateful for their unstinting support of our club’’.

The Lady Imps have secured the services of the majority of last season’s first team squad who took Lincoln all the way to the runners up spot in the Northern Division, the best ever League position in the history of the club.

‘’We’ve lost our Keeper Nic Hobbs to Leeds United" said Adams, "but I can tell you that we are speaking to several very good players at the moment in order that we fill the gap that Nicola has left.

"Also, we’re in touch with players from other clubs in the National and Northern Divisions, not to mention a couple of fantastic finds from a lower division, players whom I believe will be an absolute revelation in the Northern division, just like Jodie Snelson, who ended up as the Northern Division top scorer last season.

Plans for a new ground, stadium and soccer dome are also beginning to gain momentum. Although in their very early stages, plans have been proposed and negotiations have begun for the building of and investment for the first ever ground and stadium – which will include grass and Third Generation Astro Turf football pitches, plus a soccer dome - to be run by a women’s Football Club.

‘’This is a very ambitious venture,’’ admitted Adams ‘’but after extensive research it all looks entirely workable, especially in Lincoln where we are frankly one of the worst serviced areas in the country for sporting facilities. It will be expensive, but I believe it will be financially entirely self-sufficient, and will provide Lincoln and the surrounding area with much needed football facilities.

"If this project of our own ground gets the go-ahead, I believe this will give our club the income stream to give every player who wants to, and is good enough, the chance to play their football on a fully professional basis, as well as being able to provide other careers in football such as coaching."
