Europe up for grabs
Monday, 30 April 2007.
Everton have a great chance to make it into Europe following a 3-0 win over Doncaster Rovers Belles, together with Arsenal's success against Umea on Sunday.
A second European place is available to the second placed side as Arsenal have secured a place as holders of the competition, thanks to their thrilling aggregate win over Umea.
Everton move into third place, just one point behind Charlton following the Addicks' 3-0 win at Cardiff, but the Merseyside club have a game in hand.
As Charlton prepare to face Arsenal in The FA Women's Cup on 7 May, Eniola Aluko, Sinead Bowyer and Casey Stoney were on the mark in their victory.
~ Meanwhile Leeds United upset Birmingham to record a crucial victory taking them up to fifth spot above Chelsea. Karen Burke and Melissa Sutcliffe grabbed the goals.
At the bottom of the table, Fulham went down, despite drawing 1-1 at Blackburn Rovers - a result that keeps Rovers in fourth place.
While Everton and Charlton will be eager to secure that all-important second spot, Arsenal sealed a fourth straight league title with a 5-1 win at Chelsea before winning their third major honour on Sunday in the form of the UEFA Women's Cup.
