Doncaster Rovers Belles 2-3 Leeds United
The FA Tesco Women's Premier League

The first of this midweek's FA Tesco Premier League clashes on Wednesday, saw Doncaster Rovers Belles go down 3-2 at home to Leeds United thanks to an inspired goalkeeping performance by the visiting 'keeper Carly Telford.

Nicole Emmanuel gave Leeds a 30th minute lead, which Carla Cantrell cancelled out at the start of the second-half.

Amanda Barr restored the advantage just ten minutes later, with Katie Holtham ensuring a league double over Belles with a third on 78 minutes, before Vicky Exley replied at the death.

Further good news for Leeds was the sight of their summer signing Steph Houghton having a 15 minute run out in the second half, as she battles her way back from her spiral fracture, sustained just before the World Cup.
