Arsenal Ladies midfielder Katie Chapman has today been withdrawn from the England squad to take on Spain this Sunday, after picking up a knock in last night's UEFA Women's Cup defeat against Olimpique Lyonnais.

Chapman has been replaced by Nuneaton born Laura Bassett, with the Birmingham City defender hoping to add to her seven senior caps, the last of which came in the international friendly against Scotland in March, at Wycombe Wanderers.

The squad joined up in Shropshire last night, with Shrewsbury Town Football Club warning that just a small number of tickets are remaining for the last game of 2007 for Hope Powell's squad.
