Brent Hills has paid tribute to the German side that taught England a footballing lesson, and is convinced the Three Lions will learn from the experience and be better players for it.
Brent told TheFA.com: "It is an honour and a privilege to play Germany, a side that I consider still to be best side in world.
"Obviously I am disappointed. We played well at times and created chances, although no-one likes to lose 5-1, especially when it's against Germany. The most important thing is for the team to learn and develop over next eleven months.
"I do feel that the first German goal wasn't a free-kick, the second goal should have been free kick to us - so that would have made a difference. We're disappointed that we conceeded three goals from set pieces which is unusual for us.
"Katie Chapman was a big miss from this game, as she won almost every header in our own box against France.
"It is Important that players like Jill Scott and Siobhan got experience of playing in games like this. Karen Carney wanted to play on at half-time but we take the well being of all our players very seriiosuly and we want her to still be playing international football at 35 and not have to retire at 28."
Germany Head Coach Silvia Neid said: "I am very satisfied with the result and the performance. England are a strong, organised team and to win 5-1 is very pleasing.
They tried to press England and make them make mistakes, and as England tired in second half, the plan worked.
First half should have taken more chances but seconf half much more clinical and by the end you could see the players were enjoying themselves.
