Eleven games, 22 players, three European Championship group matches in the first major women's football tournament in this country and a record 13-0 victory in a superb display away to Hungary.

It has been a truly superb season for England's Women. But who has been the star for England during the last twelve months? Who will take the accolade as the first player to be voted for by the fans as England Women's Player of the Year, in partnership with Nationwide?

VOTING IS NOW CLOSED

Remember, it isn't about how well the players performed for their clubs, but what they did while wearing the Three Lions. The first game to be included in the voting starts with England's 3-2 victory over Finland last June, and the final game in the qualifying period will be England's World Cup Qualifier with Austria on 20 April.

The lucky winner will receive VIP tickets for their immediate family to the Women's final home World Cup qualifier against Holland on 31 August and have the opportunity to present the award to the winning player on the pitch before kick-off

The winning fan, who will also receive a signed shirt by the winning player, will be selected at random and contacted by 3 May and the winning player will be announced on 19 May on TheFA.com
