Anglian Combination 4-0 Bedford & District
FA National League System Cup
Second Round
Saturday 19 November 2005

Anglian Combination scored three times before the break as they eased past Bedford & District to reach the Quarter-Finals of The FA National League System Cup.

The hosts took the lead in the 17th minute when good link up play between Terrington and Gleave handed Waites a simple tap-in into an empty net.

It was 2-0 ten minutes later, Stuart Nee landing the killer blow at the back post after Terrington's free-kick had caused problems.

The visitors responded with their best period of pressure and went close when Andy Hayday's shot was cleared off the line while Odd forced the Anglian keeper into a good save.

But the home side held firm and scored a third a minute from half-time through Waites who tucked away his second of the afternoon from Davies' cross.

Bedford needed an instant riposte but their task was made more difficult in the 58th minute when they found themselves down to ten men with the sending off of Carl Page who was shown a second yellow.

Anglian rounded off a good afternoon with their fourth goal to book their place in the last eight.
