Ben Hutchison scored four goals as Arnold Town hammered Dunston 7-1 to move into the Third Round of the FA Youth Cup.

The young striker, who scored twice on his first-team debut on Saturday - a 2-0 win over Pelsall Villa in the FA Vase - made it a week to remember with another virtuoso performance.

However, joint manager-coach Andrew Muldoon thought the whole side deserved praise. "Football holds few surprises for me, but I was astonished last night," he said.

"They were absolutely different class, superb in every department. Ben gets the headlines for his goals but the rest of the team provided the chances."

The Nottinghamshire based side imposed themselves from the kick-off and were 4-0 up at half-time.

"We are a little club and this is the FA Cup, so every game you expect to be hard. I thought it would be a blood and guts battle, but by half-time the game was over," added Muldoon.

Sebastian Darling, Tom Watson and Chris Hall scored Arnold's other goals and the prize for beating Dunston is a home clash against Sheffield United.

"The boys are living a dream. It will be a difficult game but we are going all out for a win," insisted Muldoon.

In the other high-scoring game of the round, Southend United beat Swindon Town 3-2.

Two ties went to penalties - Wrexham beat Oldham Athletic with keeper Michael Jones the hero, while Carlisle saw off Doncaster Rovers.

Ryan Parker scored the only goal in Cheltenham Town's 1-0 win over Bath City, and Milton Keynes Dons won by the same score against Stevenage Borough.

There are four more fixtures tonight, including Nottingham Forest's trip to Cambridge City.
