Wolverhampton Wanderers are the last team through to the Semi-Finals after a 2-1 extra-time win over Derby County.

After a goalless first-half, Lionel Ainsworth, who had looked lively all evening, gave Terry Westley's side the lead on 61 minutes.

His excellent run and finish from close-range was just reward for Derby who until that moment had enjoyed more possession and had created most clear-cut opportunities than Wolves.

However the lead did not last long as Wolves, sparked into life by going a goal down, equalised with 16 minutes left on the clock.

Derby 'keeper Ben Kirby had looked to have dealt with a dangerous cross well, punching the ball well clear of the penalty area but that would be reckoning without Chris Cornes.

The ball fell invitingly for Cornes and he struck a magnificent lob over Kirby from all of 35 yards to bring his side back into the match.

The match ebbed and flowed and both sides created good opportunities to take the lead but no matter how hard they tried, no-one could find the composure in the final third to settle the match.

In extra-time, the home side received two blows to their chances of making it through to the last four, firstly when Nathan Doyle was stretchered off with what looked to be a bad injury, and then when Chris Turner was shown a second yellow card for a foul on Conor Rafferty.

Then, with five minutes of extra-time remaining, Wolves won the match thanks to a second from Cornes. Stephen Gleeson found some space on the edge of the penalty area and rolled the ball across for the striker to hit an unstoppable drive past Kirby.
