Vase holders Truro City were knocked out by Whitley Bay on Saturday and their conquerors have been handed an away tie against Hungerford Town or Greenwich Borough in the Sixth Round Proper draw made at Soho Square today.
The Bay lifted the Vase at Villa Park in 2002 and currently lie second behind Durham City in the Northern League's Division One.
Merstham, Combined Counties League Premier Division leaders by 14 points, won a Vase classic 5-4 against Consett to reach the last eight for the first time.
They were 0-2 down in normal time and 2-4 down in extra time in one of the competition's most dramatic matches. Now the Surrey outfit have been rewarded for their endeavours with a home tie against St Ives Town or Needham Market.
The eight teams who eventually line up in Round Six, with those two replays due next weekend, only need to win two ties to make it to Wembley on 11 May.
Last season's Vase Final drew a record 27,754 fans to the new stadium.
