The reigning Northern League champions were recognised by The Football Association for last month’s stunning Fifth Round performance that ended Truro City’s dream of retaining The FA Vase at Wembley Stadium.

A second-half double from Lee Kerr and a third from Paul Chow on 81 minutes sealed a memorable away win for the North Tyneside outfit and manager, Ian Chandler, commented: “Everyone connected with the club is delighted to have been awarded the FA Vase Team of the Round.

“It's not just a reflection on the team performance, but our awesome fans who clocked up a round trip of over 1,000 miles to watch us in action at Truro."

"We picked up another brilliant win on Saturday at Hungerford Town and can’t wait for the Semi-Finals."
