Colwyn Bay are hoping a win on Tuesday night against Sheffield in the FA Trophy Third Round Qualifying will be a fitting tribute to club director Margaret Jones who died suddenly last week, aged 79.
Ms Jones had been involved with club for over fifty years and passed away after a short illness.
Club spokesman Grant McIndoe said: "Margaret was well-known throughout the club and it would be nice if we could dedicate a win to her memory. She never married. She lived for Colwyn Bay football club and travelled all over the country to see her team."
The news of the club director's death was not the only news to rock Colwyn Bay at the weekend as defender Kyle Armstrong was involved in a serious car crash on the way to Saturday's one-all draw.
Thankfully he was unhurt but shaken and unable to play in the first match. The club is hoping he will be fit to line-up in the replay against Sheffield.
McIndoe added: "We have a good squad and are hoping that Kyle will be fit and then we will be at full-strength. It was a tight match on Saturday with both goalkeepers relatively untroubled."
