Ebbsfleet United's path to Saturday's FA Carlsberg Trophy Final has been a difficult one, so one more tough game doesn't faze their manager, Liam Daish.
The Fleet's opponents, Torquay United, finished third in the Conference Premier this season while Ebbsfleet ended their campaign in 11th place. But despite the difference in league position, Daish is confident that his side can overcome the odds at Wembley.
"We don't mind being the underdogs and we'll go into the game with real belief that we can go out there and finish the job," he said.
Daish's side saw off the challenges of Carshalton and Dorchester, Weymouth and Burton Albion before defeating this season's Conference Premier champions Aldershot over two legs in the Semi-Finals.
"It's been a difficult path to Wembley, and I don't think anyone who's watched us through each round of the competition can say we don't deserve it. We certainly didn't have it easy!"
"Aldershot won promotion from our division by a country mile, but over both legs of the tie we were the better side. It was certainly no fluke that we made it through. We've done our jobs, we deserve to be here and every player has played their part."
Daish tasted success at Wembley back in 1995, when he skippered Birmingham City to Auto Windscreens Shield glory. He'll be using his experience from that day to help calm his side's nerves before this weekend's Final.
"I just want the players to make sure they enjoy every minute of it and really take it all in, because it can go so quickly and opportunities like this don't come around every year," he said.
"There are a lot of good teams and good players who have never played at Wembley, and may never get the chance, so we've got to savour it, appreciate it, and above all, enjoy the occasion."
Showpiece games can sometimes get the better of players, but Daish's experience and advice will ensure his players are fully focused when they enter the arena on Saturday afternoon. The Fleet manager's aim is clear:
"Wembley's a great place to play, but it's an even better place to win."
