Exeter City's Director of Football, Steve Perryman, is hoping his team can maintain their good form against Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday as the pair vie for a place in the Third Round of The FA Trophy.

The Grecians have notched up some notable league wins over the last month, including victories over Conference top two, Dagenham and Oxford United.

Paul Tisdale's men were fixture-free last weekend but Perryman is adamant that won't impede their momentum as they approach one of the ties of the round.

"We've beaten both Dagenham and Oxford at home in recent weeks so we're on a good run at the moment," explained the Tottenham legend.

"We lost at Weymouth on Boxing Day, but we took six points out of nine over the festive period.

"Because of Aldershot's involvement in The FA Cup, we had a little rest last weekend but we hope that won't upset our run following that very good Oxford win."

City, who were semi-finalists last year, have already played Kidderminster once this season, with honours ending even in an entertaining 1-1 draw.

Harriers, who have won their last four games, came back from a goal down that day and Perryman is expecting another hard fought contest.

He said: "We've done fairly well in the three years we have been in this tournament. The fixture pile-up can sometimes prove difficult, but we still want to do well. We want to reach a major FA final and give our supporters a day out.

"Realistically it's difficult for a Conference team to make progress in The FA Cup. But as we are a top six team, I believe we should be looking at a semi-final place where the Trophy is concerned.

"We've done that before, so naturally we'd like to go one step further.

"We've had our minds full with transfers so we're looking forward to the game. They are no fools and they have good leadership.

"We had a tough encounter at St James Park in November and we expect the same again on Saturday."
