The FA Trophy
Third Round Qualifying Replay
Tuesday 29 November 2005 - 7.45pm
Nine replays in The FA Trophy's Third Round Qualifying are scheduled to be played on Tuesday evening.
East Thurrock United v Tonbridge Angels and Halesowen Town v Sutton Coldfield, like Hednesford Town v Moor Green yesterday, have already fallen victim to the wintry weather.
Several former Trophy finalists are in replay action. Hucknall Town, pipped on penalties by Conference table-toppers Grays Athletic in last season's Final at Villa Park, face a tricky game at fellow Conference North side Northwich Victoria.
Vics, looking for a quick return to the Conference's National Division, were Trophy winners in 1984 and runners-up nine years ago.
Bishop's Stortford and Sutton United, now both in the Conference South, fought out a dour Trophy Final more than 20 years ago at Wembley and both will be battling to make this season's First Round Proper after achieving 2-2 draws at Maidenhead and Uxbridge respectively at the weekend.
Sutton, still in the record books as the last non-League team to knock out top-flight opposition in The FA Cup, left it late. Stewart Castledine's equaliser at Honeycroft came in the last few seconds.
AFC Wimbledon, with their fantastic support, could make more of an impact in this season's Trophy after a First Round exit at Hendon last time.
They entertain Dartford at Kingsmeadow after a goalless game at Gravesend and a win will earn them a shot at Conference South St Albans City, again at home. Dartford were Trophy finalists more than 30 years ago.Barrow, 1990 winners, and the new AFC Telford United also have home replays this evening.
Histon, still in this season's FA Cup, are in Trophy replay action tomorrow at home to Hinckley United. We'll keep you up-to-date with all tonight's Trophy action.
