All but four of those ties are on Saturday, with Fisher Athletic v Hendon on Friday night at Dulwich and Slough Town v Croydon Athletic, Chelmsford City v Horsham and Kingstonian v Aveley on Sunday.

A handful of previous Trophy winners now find themselves entering the competition at its earliest stage. Burscough won at Villa Park only three seasons ago, with Linnets' then boss Shaun Teale moved to say at the final whistle: "I asked the boys to go out there and give everything for 90 minutes.

"If your body aches after that - but you've won The FA Trophy - you don't care". On Saturday they entertain 1990 finalists Leek Town at Victoria Park.

Kingstonian, with Geoff Chapple at the helm, were Trophy winners two years running at Wembley - in 1999 and 2000. Their 3-2 success against Kettering Town in the latter final was hailed as a Trophy classic.

Now they receive Aveley at Kingsmeadow on Sunday. Wealdstone, who became the first club to achieve a Trophy and Conference (then "Gola League") double in 1985, travel to Tooting & Mitcham United on Saturday.

Matlock Town (1975 winners) and Enfield (1982 and 1988) play Brigg Town away and Fleet Town at home respectively.

Some sides still in The FA Cup face Trophy ties at the weekend. Ossett Town from West Yorkshire, who won 6-3 at Matlock last Saturday to book their place in The Cup's Fourth Round Qualifying, are at home to Stocksbridge Park Steels.

Chippenham Town, one win from lining up in the Competition Proper for the first time in more than half a century, go to Cinderford Town in the Trophy.

Farsley Celtic, Blyth Spartans, Folkestone Invicta, Ramsgate, Tiverton Town, Cirencester Town and Burnham are amongst the clubs still with an interest in both competitions.

The 75 winners pick up £1,300 each and the Second Round Qualifying is scheduled for 12 November.
