Oldham Athletic and Huddersfield Town, the two League One sides who meet in the Fourth Round on Saturday, were both responsible for shock results in the last round.

Oldham, Cup semi-finalists twice in the 1990s, beat Premiership Everton at Goodison Park with Gary McDonald's spectacular effort in stoppage time at the end of the first half. Huddersfield also accounted for top-flight opposition, knocking out Birmingham City 2-1 at the Terriers' own Galpharm Stadium with Chris Brandon's 82nd-minute strike proving decisive.

Yes, Oldham and Huddersfield have clashed in The Cup before - but not for 76 years!

In their only previous meeting, in the Third Round in 1932, the Yorkshire side won 6-0 in a home replay after a 1-1 draw in Lancashire. The scorers in the first match were Teddy Ivill (Oldham) and Dave Mangnall (Huddersfield).

Ivill was a full-back who wasn't noted for his goalscoring, managing just two in 276 League matches, while Mangnall was prolific in front of goal for a number of clubs.

Mangnall cracked in four in the replay, with George McLean and Charlie Luke contributing the others. Huddersfield made it through to the Sixth Round in that season before Arsenal beat them 1-0 at Leeds Road.

So, more than three quarters of a century later, Oldham now have their chance of revenge.

Peterborough United's tie with West Bromwich Albion and Portsmouth's match with Plymouth Argyle are Cup firsts. Those clubs have never played each other before in the world-famous competition.
