First Round Proper

Stuart Beavon, Weymouth
Lee Carney, Horsham
Nigel Brake, Horsham
Andy Bishop, Bury
Mo Harkin, Havant & Waterlooville

It's every player's dream to be at The FA Cup Final and five players from last weekend's First Round could fulfill that wish with your votes.

Stuart Beavon, Lee Carney, Nigel Brake, Andy Bishop and Mo Harkin have been short-listed by our panel as we continue our search for The FA Cup Player of the First Round Proper, run in partnership with E.ON.

The winner will receive a VIP invitation for himself and a guest to this season's FA Cup Final, which will be held at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 17 May.

The Player of the Round will also win £500 worth of football equipment for a local school of their choice from E.ON, as well as a trophy.

Weymouth star Beavon was nominated by the Sports Editor of The Daily Star, Howard Wheatcroft, following his seven minute hat-trick against Eastbourne Borough, described by the new panelist as a 'stunning performance'.

Radio Five Live's Mark Clemmit chose Bishop after his late hat-trick against Workington made the 4-1 scoreline look more emphatic in Bury's favour than it really was.

FA Cup legend Ricky George opted for Horsham's Carney, due to his two- goal salvo against Maidenhead.

David Emery of The Non League Paper also plumped for a Horsham player, with Brake getting his vote thanks to his stunning long-range strike at Queen Street.

The final name came from Graham Bartlett of sponsors E.ON and he named Harkin after his goal set up one of the shocks of the round with Havant & Waterlooville seeing off the challenge of York City to reach the Second Round for the first time in their history.

Fans must decide the overall winner by voting on-line on TheFA.com. You will need a FAN to do this, click here for more information. Votes must be cast before 9am on Monday 19 November.
