Chelsea star Joe Cole is targeting another Wembley appearance in The FA Cup this year, after being part of the Blues team to lift the trophy last May.

The Londoners became the first team to lift the trophy at the new Wembley when they beat Manchester United by a single goal and Cole is hoping that a successful defence of their title can be launched this season.

The Fifth Round draw saw Avram Grant’s team handed a tie with League One opposition in Huddersfield Town and with the Premiership hopefuls also having home advantage, Cole feels that Chelsea couldn’t have hoped for any more.

“We’re happy with the draw,” revealed the England midfielder.

“We’ve been drawn out at home and that’s all you can wish for really, so we have to take that and concentrate on progressing now.”

The 26-year-old knows that Chelsea will have to be fully focused on their task though, as Andy Ritchie’s Town side won’t be a pushover for anyone.

They have already seen off Premiership opposition in the shape of Birmingham City in the Third Round before knocking out League One rivals Oldham Athletic in the Fourth Round to earn their trip to west London.

Town won’t be going into the unknown either, as just over two years ago they were unfortunate not to come away from Stamford Bridge with a draw when they faced the Blues in a Third Round tie. Cole played in that game (pictured left) and remembers it well.

With 10 minutes of the match to go, the Terriers looked to have secured a replay only for Eidur Gudjonsson to net a late winner for Jose Mourinho’s men.

The Yorkshiremen also have a victory at Stamford Bridge in recent memory, following a League Cup win there back in 1999, so Cole is well aware of what could happen.

“We’ll have to show them a lot of respect and be prepared for a battle,” he added.

“They’re in the last 16 for a reason, so they’re a good side and we know that.

“We have to go and win the game and if we can do and keep the form going, it would be nice to have another Wembley appearance in The FA Cup Final.”
