This season's FA Cup Fifth Round draw produced two unusual pairings - Cardiff City v Wolverhampton Wanderers and Sheffield United v Middlesbrough haven't been seen in The Cup since the early 1920s.

Not only had the new Wembley not been built - the old Wembley hadn't seen the light of day either.

Both Cardiff and Wolves were Division Two sides when they played a Semi-Final at Anfield in 1921. They'd actually met in the Second Round in the previous season, the Welshmen winning 2-1 at Molineux.

It finished goalless at Anfield. Then Wolves triumphed 3-1 in the Old Trafford replay to set up a Final with Spurs at Stamford Bridge.

Now the clubs clash again in The Cup after a gap of 87 years.

Sheffield United and Middlesbrough have only been drawn together once before in The Cup. The two top-flight teams drew 1-1 in a Second Round match at Ayresome Park in February 1923, two months before the opening of the old Wembley.

United's scorers in their 3-0 replay win at Bramall Lane were Harry Johnson, Tommy Sampy and Irish international Billy Gillespie. They went on to reach the Semi-Finals.

This Sunday, 85 years on, the two clubs line up again at Bramall Lane in search of more Cup glory.
