Paulo Ferreira has set his heart on winning The FA Cup to complete a dream 'quadruple' under Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese defender collected the Champions League with Mourinho at previous club FC Porto, and has won the Premiership and League Cup under the same boss in England.

But somehow The FA Cup has eluded him - and he intends to put that right!

"It’s a competition that I haven't won yet," the full-back said. "So of course we are looking forward to trying to win it.

"All competitions are important to us but I think with The FA Cup it's obvious that it's special - because of the type of competition it is and because we haven't won it before. We will try everything this year to do it.

"I can tell you the manager takes The FA Cup very, very seriously for this reason - like he does every game. We are a big club with top players and we always have to think about winning. That's our mentality."

Before they can even think about lifting the most famous cup in football, however, Chelsea have first to get to The Final - and that means beating Blackburn Rovers in the last four at Old Trafford.

Ferreira said: "Blackburn will be tough opponents but the fact that it's at a neutral stadium is good, I think. Of course in a Semi-Final anything can happen but we are confident - that is the way we always are at Chelsea.

"It will be a difficult game but we want to be in The Final and I think we can do it."

If Chelsea do manage to beat Blackburn, at the same Semi-Final venue where they lost to Liverpool last year, there will be an extra prize on offer for Ferreira and Co at the end of it - a trip to Wembley!

"The fact that The Final is at Wembley is very exciting," the right-back said. "To play in a new stadium in front of so many fans would be special.

"I have never played at Wembley in my career and it's a shame I will never be able to play in the old stadium - I would have loved to do that because I have heard so many stories about it. But to be the first team to play a Cup Final in the new stadium is also something that will go down in history.

"I'm sure my family would be excited to see me play there and it is something very big to aim for."
