The draw for the First Round Proper of The FA Cup was made at Soho Square on Saturday evening, as the clubs from both League One and League Two entered the competition along with those teams who have progressed through the qualifying rounds.

Hosted by The FA’s Director Of Football Development Sir Trevor Brooking, the draw was made by former England international Paul Parker and former Chelsea player John Hollins and as always it threw up some interesting ties.

Essex outfit Billericay Town of the Ryman Premier League are to host League One high-fliers Swansea City at their New Lodge home in what looks to be an intriguing fixture with all the ingredients of a classic cup clash.

Hereford United, most famous for their FA Cup victory over Newcastle United in 1972, have the chance to slay another ‘giant’ as they face Leeds United at Edgar Street.

The FA Cup dream will also go on for a number of non-league clubs, with ten ties pairing up teams who have progressed from the preliminary rounds.

Chasetown, who are remembered for holding Oldham Athletic to a draw in the First Round in 2005, are on the road to Team Bath whilst Exeter City face an all-Conference game as they have been drawn to play Stevenage Borough or Salisbury City.

Harrogate Railway, who won their derby match with Harrogate Town by 2-1 on Saturday, face a Droylsden team who will make the trip across the Pennines in confident mood following a 2-1 win at Corby Town in the Fourth Round Qualifying.

Elsewhere, Horsham take on Maidenhead United whilst Stafford Rangers or Cambridge United have a home tie against either Crawley Town or Aldershot Town.
